A few updates:
1. The Yadkin riverbed ownership litigation has been scheduled for Bench Trial to begin on April 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Elizabeth City (Second Floor - Courtroom) before U. S. District Judge Terrence W. Boyle. In the interest of judicial economy, the parties should first present evidence relevant to the issue of navigability.
2. Former Upper Neuse Riverkeeper, Former Yadkin Riverkeeper Dean Naujoks has been spotted in the position of the Potomac Riverkeeper: http://www.waterkeeperschesapeake.com/about-us/resources/item/57-po... Just keep passing the problem on to some other unsuspecting group of people who really do love their waterway, without ever explaining what happened.
3. There's an article in today's Salisbury Post stating that DENR disputes test results of run-off near the Duke Energy Buck Steam plant previously-published by the new Yadkin Riverkeeper/Waterkeeper Alliance: http://www.salisburypost.com/2015/03/13/state-tests-contradict-rive... . Interesting that reader comments don't trust either DENR or the Yadkin Riverkeeper to be objective.
